Terms of Use
Last updated: May 1, 2026
1. Acceptance of the Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Image Resizer (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
2. Description of the Service
The Service is a free, browser-based utility that batch-compresses images (JPG, PNG, WebP) and packages the results into a single ZIP archive for download. Images are processed on our server briefly for compression and are deleted immediately after the ZIP is produced. The ZIP file itself is retained for 10 minutes and then automatically deleted.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a holder of parental responsibility, to use the Service.
4. Acceptable use
When using the Service you agree not to:
- use the Service to violate any applicable law or third-party right;
- process personal data of other people without a proper legal basis;
- upload, distribute, or process malware, viruses, or harmful code;
- attempt to probe, scan, or disrupt the Service, or bypass any security measures;
- scrape the Service by automated means in a manner that imposes an unreasonable load;
- reproduce, resell, or monetise the Service or any part of it without our written consent.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its source code, design, layout, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right over them other than the limited right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
Images you upload remain yours. We claim no ownership over your content.
6. Advertising
The Service is supported by advertising displayed via Google AdSense. The presence of an advertisement does not imply any endorsement of the advertised product or service by us. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, advertising cookies are only set after you provide consent.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or availability. Your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under EU or national law.
9. Your consumer rights
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you have the right to rely on all mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are habitually resident. Nothing in these Terms affects those rights. The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. If the change is material, we will highlight it on the homepage for a reasonable period.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe these Terms have been violated.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and, where applicable, the laws of the Member State in which the operator of the Service is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from the Service shall be brought before the courts of that Member State, subject to mandatory rules granting consumers the right to sue in their country of residence.
